 We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing Admin team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting:

    • Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and reconcile bank statements.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable:

    • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
    • Collect customer payments and resolve any outstanding invoices.
    • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Payroll Processing:

    • Assist with the processing of payroll, including calculating taxes and deductions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate payment of employee salaries and wages.
  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare various financial reports for management, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Tax Compliance:

    • Assist with the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and payroll tax.
  • Internal Controls:

    • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Other duties as assigned:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player attitude.
  • Experience with accounts management for Grant, Non-profit or Government projects is a plus.
  • ICAN or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
